STRATEGIC PLANNING

The following nine strategic interventions were identified in 2019-20.

• Formulation of Vision-2030 for SD&TE Department and OSDA and drawal of the action plan to implement it.
• Establishment and Operationalization of “World Skill Centre (WSC)”.
• Implementation of the vision “New ITI” in all Government ITIs.
• Improving Girls’ Enrolment in Government ITIs and ensuring 30% girls' enrolment by 2020-21.
• Grading of Polytechnics.
• “Go Skill Portal” for short term skilling.
• Setting up of CoEs in Government Engineering Colleges and to ensure that at least one Government College/University to be ranked among Top-100 and two among Top-150 of NIRF ranking.
• “Digital Skilling”: taking skill to every college of the state.
• “Odisha Skills”: Organization of ‘Odisha Skills’ and prepare our youth to represent in India Skills and World Skills competitions.
